A U.S. general says it is. The Israeli foreign minister says it isn’t. The BBC reports on the possiblity of Israeli involvement at coalition prisons in occupied Iraq.

The US officer at the heart of the Abu Ghraib prison scandal says she has evidence that Israelis helped to interrogate Iraqis at another facility.
Brig Gen Janis Karpinski told the BBC she met an Israeli working as an interrogator at a secret intelligence centre in Baghdad.

A BBC reporter says it is the first time a senior US officer has suggested Israelis worked with the coalition.

The Israeli foreign ministry said the reports were completely untrue.

  7. Chances are that the Americans in Iraq and the Iraqis have gotten some help from the Israelis on some level, considering that Israel has the most experience in terrorist response and many other issues of dealing with terrorism… I mean, not only in the middle east, but Israelis were among the first on the scenes at the 1998 embassy bombings, after september 11, after march 11, and after several other bombings around the world. they are also a big force in the security for the athens olympics, and were for the last olympics too…
so yeah, it is possible that there is some israeli influence, but not in a negative sense…
