On Ron Suarez’s blog there is notice of a resolution that the City Council may take up to push Congress for an end to the war in Iraq. Michigan Peacworks is heading the charge, with support from groups like the Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice and Veterans for Peace.
The main question around this resolution seems to be, “Is this a local issue?” According to the National Priorities Center, Ann Arbor Taxpayers have paid over $129 million for the war in Iraq.
I just don’t want them to get too big of a head by seeing their name come up on Google Alerts.
Or maybe I’m just touchy since ICPJ’s name is so long, so when keychain and pen companies send us free samples they say “Interfaith Council for Pea” or “Interfaith CNCL for Peach/Justice.”
That’s “PeaCeworks” to you Chuck. :D

Yeah, well at least I spelled the URL right.

But for all my spelling errors, the resolution still passed.
Now for the resolution calling for peach justice.

For the record, the resolution passed 8-2, the 2 no votes were Higgins and Rapundalo. (source: AA News )
