2. I have to admit I’m a little ambivalent about this. I understand that it’s tough for grad students with children, but I’m not sure why childless couples should get any kind of housing priority from the university when they can actually live more cheaply than single students, comfortably sharing a one-bedroom. And single grad students already can live in certain areas of family housing, so it’s not all families.
