Every weekend in June, the Residential College and Nichols Arboretum are presenting Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Directed by RC grad Carol Gray and RC professor Kate Mendeloff, the play leads audiences through the Arb as the young Athenian lovers encounter spirits, fairies, and a troupe of crazy players preparing for the Duke.

I saw the show last weekend, and highly recommend it—it is one of the stronger shows in the past several years.

The performances are Thursday-Sunday starting at 6:30pm. Audience members are encouraged to arrive by 6:00pm to purchase tickets and receive weather information. In case of cancellations, tickets will be honored at a later performance. More information at sitemaker.umich.edu/mbgna/Shakespeare_in_the_Arb.
