  1. Thanks for posting this, Murph. I got it from 2 different sources within the last hour, and have no idea why we didn’t hear about this earlier. Wouldn’t it be great if the News actually reported on regional events like this one?

I can’t attend, unfortunately, but hope that someone from AU might be able to.

  2. It was in the AA News yesterday. My g/f, who’s all about dog parks, was wondering why she hadn’t heard about this til yesterday…

  3. KGS. I saw it too in yesterdays newspaper, but I couldn’t attend either. I think something like this could of used more publicity, as this was the first I had heard of it.

  4. I attend the workshop. It was just like the vision fair for Swift Run that took place a year (or two!) ago.
I really like that you can stop in, talk with people who are working on the project, and leave your written comments that they compile and discuss later.
I am not sure if you are familiar with vision fairs, so that is why I post this stuff.

So I went to say, hey I want a dog park. That took about two minutes. After that, I got caught up at the agricultural land table because I wanted to make the comment that I don’t want to see farmland preserved if they don’t provide some (economic or other) incentives for farmers to start certifying their land organic. The person at the table didn’t seem too pleased with my comment, he said, “So you want me to write that down?”.

Now I know that someone will stick up for the idea that farmers are going to stick with what they know and not risk changing from pesticides to organic methods of pest control, but I really believe that a city like Ann Arbor has enough support for the organic and local produce that people would really back this up.

I heard Margaret Wong talking about how she wishes everyone wasn’t so polarized about the greenway/DDA ongoings. Greenway advocates must have been given the invitation to this meeting that my group did not receive.
