Hot off the wire:

Vigil for tonight in honor of all those who have died in the last four years and all those who will die over the next four years.  For peace.

Come to the DIAG at MIDNIGHT…

We hope to have a time for people to share any creative pieces they have come up with.

We also hope to inspire and encourage people to continue the fight.

DIAG AT MIDNIGHT FOR THE VIGIL

If you have anything to share at the vigil or have suggestions please email back barino@umich.edu ASAP.

  1. I wonder if they’d have a vigil over all the people Kerry would “hunt down” and kill over the next few years. I’m as disappointed as anyone, but this simplistic emotional crap gets on my nerves.

  2. Sharing creative pieces. That’s just the antidote the left needs.

  3. after just having returned from the vigil, it was extremely appropriate, necessary and worthwhile. people shared poetry, songs, thoughts, music, ideas, feelings, insights and visions.

thank you to all who came out and thank you to the organizers.

    peace.

  5. FACT: John Kerry VOTED FOR THE WAR and VOWED TO HUNT DOWN AND KILL terrorists that posed a threat to the U.S. KERRY and MANY OTHER DEMOCRATS saw the same intelligence Bush saw and VOTED FOR WAR.

    liberal idiots.

  6. Dude. The election was on Tuesday. Give it a rest.

  7. the vigil was about far more than the election. it is really nobody’s place to judge us for dealing with what has happened/where we are in our own way. it was one of many avenues for people to pursue.

and for those who keep mentioning the specific electoral motivations for the vigil, i am comfortable saying that there would have been one had the election ended in the other way as well.

  8. MWH, just want to make sure you know I’m not criticizing the vigil or anybody involved in it; I was talking to our friend Anon, who apparently didn’t get the memo that it was time to stop bashing liberals and start working to earn the country’s support.

  9. Dude- The timing of this vigil is what I have a problem with. Why not do this a month from now? Or 3 weeks from now? It is more of a political statement than a rememberance for the dead. THAT is what I have a problem with.
