1. Don’t forget that before the regular Council meeting, the Council will have a working session to discuss the MDEQ order about Argo Dam. The session is schedule to begin at 5:45 pm in Council Chambers.
2. Also, the near north neighborhood group announced that the developer has agreed to ask for a delay of the public hearing to allow discussions with the neighborhood to continue. Likely, the Council will open the public hearing, allow the public to speak and then “continue” the public hearing to another Council meeting (probably Sept 21). Anyone who speaks tonight would not be allowed to speak at the continued public hearing. http://ncpoa.blogspot.com/
Near North was postponed because the developers and the neighbors have a deal. The toy gun ordinance was postponed. The Council rule revisions were approved.
Margie Teall and Leigh Greden resigned from the Budget and Labor Committee. Mike Anglin and Sabra Briere were approved as their replacements.
